IT’S TIME TO SEEK THE LORD

Dear Beloved in Christ,

                             Greetings to you in the precious name of the lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dear young people, do you know that God wants everyone of you to live a happy and a joy filled life. But you can experience this joy filled life only by having a constant and a consistent relationship with the one who created you and me. If there is anything that Satan fights on us the most, it is spending time with God. He knows that if he can keep us seeking Gods PRESENTS instead of Gods PRESENCE we will remain powerless, unprotected, dissatisfied and in a constant state of confusion and frustration. In this message I want to take few minutes to focus on some of the benefits of spending time with God, the part of our day that God deserves the most and some specific ways we can spend time with him.

 

·        What are the Benefits of Spending Time with God?

                                      One of the greatest blessings that results from spending time with God is an inward sense of peace, joy and a lasting satisfaction that cannot be received from any other source. Unfortunately many young people are trying to find fulfillment in all wrong places. As they could not find out, they end up in a mess. But the word of God says in Ps-91:1, 2.to dwell in the secret place of his presence. It is not the stuffs of the world, but it is God’s presence where you can find fulfillment. As we do, we experience an unshakable stability full of peace, power and protection.

                                          Friends, you believe it or not spending time with God affects every area of your life. Mathew 6:33 says “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the other things will be added unto you”. By learning to spend time with God regularly, we’re actually learning how to have Prosperity, get our Breakthrough, have better relationship and on and on. Every area of our lives is impacted in a positive way when we put God First.

 

·        When Do We Spend Time With Him?

                                       It’s important for us to realize the things that we do for God do not replace our time with God. We can teach, preach and sing but none of those activities replaces our time with God. If we want to have a close relationship and reap the benefits from being in his presence then we must be willing to invest some specific time to be alone with him.

                                      Try to give God the BEST (FIRST) portion of the day. That is seeking him early in the morning. Psalmist said” In the morning you hear my voice Lord in the morning I prepare for you and watch and wait. I believe that as we give God the “First Fruits” of our best time instead of our “Leftovers” he will multiply our remaining time so that we can accomplish all that we need to and do it with joy.

 

·        How Do We Spend Time With God?

You can spend your time with God in 3 Ways.

1. Getting on his Word.           2. Praise &Worship           3.Prayer.

                 God’s word is the food that every soul needs. It is necessary to feed your soul daily with the truth of Gods word. Only Gods word will enable you to stand firm at times of trouble. So spend your time with God through his word.

                      You can touch the heart of God only through praise and worship. This is the gateway to prayer. The word of god says to enter into his presence with thanksgiving and praise. All your Jericho’s will be broken through praise .So spend your time with God through praise and worship.

                      Wait upon the presence of the lord through Prayer. Cast all your burdens to god. It is the time of Divine appointment from God. The More You wait, the more you Gain the heavenly treasures.(Jer 33:3)Prayer moves the hand that moves the world. So Pray! Pray! Pray!

               So the bottom line is, you and I need to spend our time with God everyday. There is absolutely no other source that can provide us with wisdom, direction and give us the everlasting joy and peace except the presence of God. So my friend I encourage you to simplify your life by putting God First. As you do He will Supply all your need and give you the desires of your heart.
